Script Submission Form

The contest is open to all screenwriters that explore the themes of interaction between cultures, immigration, assimilation in a foreign country, expatriate life, and similar issues. Participants can reside anywhere in the world and be citizens of any country. Scripts are accepted from March 6th to May 30th, 2009. The winner and five finalists will be announced on June 10th, 2009.

Please fill out all fields in the form below and attach the files with your script and synopsis. If you would like to submit several scripts, please fill out a separate form for each script. Please send all your questions regarding script submission to email@mergefest.com. Note that scripts will not be accepted via email.

• Scripts are accepted only in English or Russian;
• Each script has to be accompanied by a short synopsis no longer than one page;
• Files are accepted only in PDF format;
• Scripts for short films or TV series will not be accepted;
• Scripts should not exceed 120 pages in the standard script format;
• The title page should include the author’s name, phone number and email address.

Because of the large volume of submissions, applications that do not follow these rules will not be considered.
